Sustinendi showcase at TOTO

During Clerkenwell Design Week - 22 to 24 May 2012 - Sustinendi will present a showcase for design, innovation, well being, luxury and sustainable development.

The show case will be hosted by TOTO in their Concept Store.

Sustinendi will present

Tea Together - a producer of outstanding organic jams and marmalades which supplies many of the world's top hotels.

Kun_tiqi - surf boards hand crafted from balsa wood by communities in South America and finished in Northern Spain. We will show the Kun_tiqi surfboard together with a photo series of surfers in Cornwall by Olivier Hess.

Quantz - a high density, high tech and high performance concrete material which reduces environmental impact and costs up to 40%. The designer Doreen Westphal has been working with this material and we will show some of her projects.

A Drop of Water - The Dutch designer Bas van der Veer designed A Drop of Water. This butt has the shape of a drop of water and an integrated watering can.

Virtual Water - Designer Timm Kekeritz created an iPhone app, website and poster which visualises and helps you manage your daily water consumption.

Hero Eco  - Mobility is important to us and many cities are developing new mobility concepts and plans. E-mobility - short for electric mobility - plays an important part in this mix. Hero Eco will show e-bikes and e-scooters.

Right as Rain - an Italian fashion start-up and we will show their first T-shirt collection. The shirts are made from silk and everything is produced locally ? no waste, no chemicals.

Marion Friedmann Gallery presents /courtesy: Thierry Jeannot - 'Transmutation Chandelier' - Thierry creates chandeliers from PET bottles that resemble crystal, reminiscent of Baroque or glass-blown pieces from Murano. The polystyrene lights appear like ivory or alabaster.

MORETHANSHELTERS - a mobile home for use in emergencies and refugee camps. It combines high tech solutions with traditional and local technologies and materials.

Wherever The Need - a charity which supports sanitation projects in Sierra Leone, Kenya and India. Give a £1 and Spend a Penny at TOTO's CDW Luxury Washlet Loo Stop. Your donation will go to Wherever The Need.
