Solutions shown on Sustinendi fulfil two simple criteria:

1 Energy

The new EU legislation from December 2008 demands 20 per cent less green house gases, 20 per cent more renewable energy and 20 per cent more energy efficiency by 2020 based on 1991 emissions and standards.

Sustinendi showcases solutions which fulfil these criteria. But this is the minimum standard, ideally reductions of 50 percent to 80 per cent in emissions and increases in renewable energy and energy efficiency of 50 per cent to 80 per cent should be achieved. If your products and services become more energy efficient and less polluting every year, they should be on Sustinendi as well.

2 Design

Sustinendi is a workshop for designs, which are innovative, useful and enable the users to understand the product, service or experience. The designs are characterised by their honesty, simplicity, longevity and their aesthetics. They have to be thought through and well detailed.
